Incidence of the mother tongue and extralinguistic factors in the development of sociolinguistic competence in Spanish in multilingual speakers

The present work seeks to respond to phenomena concerning the learning of a foreign language, taking into account linguistic factors, such as the influence of the mother tongue. Likewise, emotional factors were considered, referring to the attitude and motivation towards the new language, and the sociocultural aspects of the environment in which the learner operates. To achieve the established objectives, a case study was carried out on a multilingual Belgian speaker (French and Dutch as mother tongues and mastery of Italian and English) who was in an immersion situation to learn the Spanish language. The results obtained were contrasted with information compiled from bibliographic sources.

If the poetic and modernist aspects have been already widely studied, the fantastic dimension which interferes in these tales is lacking. This study intends to establish a comparison between the two tales, the construction of which is almost the same. As it questions the relation between human being and work of art, the two narratives have sexual fantasy as a starting point.

The poetry of Ernesto Mejía and its links with the aesthetics of romanticism: a comparative approach

Starting from a comparative approach, the following interpretive work analyzes the poetry of Ernesto Mejía Sánchez and his aesthetic links with three poets of European Romanticism: Novalis, Charles Baudelaire and Stéphane Mallarmé. Novalis' relationship with the Nicaraguan is reflected in the conception of poetry as magic, ritual and enchantment, as well as in the importance that Mejía Sánchez attributes to the nocturnal. With Charles Baudelaire the communicating vessel is the game of correspondences and analogy. From Mallarmé, our poet will take the vision of the poem as an artistic object, that is, free from the bonds of meaning, both poets imagine the poem as an exercise of silence and emptiness.

Improving reading comprehension through critical commentary, using virtual platforms

In this scientific article, the following didactic proposal is presented that implements critical commentary as a strategy for reading comprehension of stories in high school students in Nicaragua. For the development of said strategy, the use of educational virtual platforms that facilitate the educational process of students in their ability to understand stories will be incorporated. This study was developed from a problem identified during a diagnostic test that was implemented to ninth grade students of the Guardabarranco Public School. This investigative work is developed through a qualitative approach, using the survey as a data collection technique. The results obtained during the diagnosis revealed that the students presented deficiencies in the general comprehension of the story. In addition, it was found that the students surveyed showed little or no interest in reading stories in the classroom and at home. Due to this, it was decided to work on a strategy that implements critical commentary as a tool that facilitates reading comprehension of stories. The proposed reading comprehension strategy will be described where the critical commentary is implemented in a section, in addition, a didactic sequence will be exposed where the implementation of said strategy is systematized in a class session with the designated time. Finally, images and evidence of the tests carried out during the investigation will be exposed, detailing each of the components analyzed and facilitating the reader's understanding
