Harassment in the Salvadoran school beyond the bullying

Bullying is the Anglo-Saxon term by which is designated the situation of harassment between schoolchildren. The term was created by Dan Olweus in the 1970s, the term helped to identify and examine such practices around the world.
However, bullying, like all social phenomenon, change through time. This essay assumed that the term bullying is insufficient to explain the situations that currently happen in Salvadoran school.
This investigation was made in the framework of a broader research called “Diagnosis of Violence in the School in midlevel Salvadorans educational centers”, developed by Health and Society Research Center – CISS at Universidad Evangélica of El Salvador.
