Abstract

This research studied the amount of coronal mass ejections that occurred on the same date of the formation of active regions on the visible disk of the Sun, during the last two periods of minimum solar activity. Also the database of this research we built a catalog. Correlating statistical coincidence of these events showed a relationship of solar activity from the photosphere with sunspots to the formation of coronal mass ejections, as expected. And with the analysis of data from around 2005 and half year of 2006 for training of 165 active regions observed in the visible disk of the Sun, it is remarkable the number of active regions and not the size of these, for the relationship sequence of events in the photosphere. For the same years were trained and 701 spots were counted CME 445 produced. It was concluded that statistically, there is a correlation between the two phenomena sought by a ratio greater than 60% on the total number of spots for the years mentioned above.
