Circle Article: The importance of educational policies: a mediation for human development

Abstract

Education as a mediation for development, which is included in these initiatives, is a key component in the State's social policy. From the recognition of education as a fundamental right of every citizen, their obligations originate in the design and implementation of government actions that seek to respond to the demands of society. These efforts are evidenced in the public policies that countries generate to address the various problems they face. Understanding the redesign of educational policies and the generation of impact in the reconfiguration of the educational system is not possible without taking into account the educational actors or agents. The purpose of this article is to generate a reflection on the importance of educational policies as a dimension of human development. Citizen participation is highlighted as an essential element that will contribute holistically to the redefinition of the educational system, which is largely contingent on good governance, redesign of educational policies and a body of strategic and democratic actors.
