Abstract

The world has made remarkable advances in the field of science and technology in the last century and the beginning of the present century, to such an extent that it is affirmed that in the last century these have surpassed what has been accumulated in all previous centuries. Scientific as well as technological advances have radically modified the relationship of the human being with nature and the interaction between living beings.
Science and technology have had such a boom and so much development that they have made possible extraordinary advances in the quality of life of many countries, but contradictorily there are those who assert that science and technology could destroy the world.
