Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the differences in the behavior of loans granted in relation to gender by financial institutions that serve the productive credit granted to micro, small and medium enterprises in El Salvador for the period from 2017 to 2021. The research is focused on quantitative exploratory information in order to compare and find similarities and differences in relation to gender in the analyzed period. It is deduced that the trend of credit granting by Microfinance Institutions in relation to gender in El Salvador presents relevant information to analyze the behavior, advantages, limitations and other important aspects that are determinants in the economic development of people, according to their gender.
