Abstract

Rosario's Pharmacotherapy Optimization Unit (UOF) was born in 2012 as a response to drug problems. The work methodology implied a face-to-face meeting with the patients and the context of the pandemic made it possible to adapt its operation. New strategies for dissemination, communication and approach to the problems worked were generated, which made it possible to carry out 42 interviews that made it possible to identify drug-related problems and propose opportunities for optimizing pharmacotherapy to patients from various locations in the country. Students and teachers promoted the development of pharmaceutical competencies within the particular context, specifically regarding continued and sustained pharmaceutical care. In this way, the UOF is consolidated as a social and transformative practice that tries to host an interactive mode of knowledge to investigate optimization opportunities and coping strategies in the current adverse context.
