Infertility is a condition of the reproductive system defined by the failure to achieve a clinical pregnancy after two years of regular contraceptive-free intercourse. Infertility may be found in the male, female or both. The medical field has tried to address these kinds of medical problems, seeking for a solution, which is to achieve a full term pregnancy, through assisted reproductive technologies. These techniques are the product of the work of many scientists who have been perfecting since the eighteenth century to date. After the couple determines that on their own can not get pregnant, seeking help with your gynecologist with a subspecialty reproductive endocrinology and this will make an assessment of whether there is a medical condition that avoiding conception, related hormone levels, ovulation in women and semen analysis in male, behavior on the use of drugs, alcohol, smoking, eating habits, age, stress and emotional health, and later decide to which of the assisted reproductive technologists used. The embryologist is a microbiologist or biology with a master's in assisted reproductive technologies is entitled to begin the procedure with the semen analysis ,sperm cell function testing, sperm cell training to perform artificial insemination (IA), Fertilization in vitro and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), done in the laboratory.
